GSM GATEWAYS FAMILY
Introduction
GSM has emerged as a superior alternative to the fixed-line networks and offer wider coverage and cost benefit. Today’s businesses expect the specific benefits from GSM networks without sacrificing existing POTS/ISDN connectivity. Matrix gateways offer integrated interfaces for GSM/3G, T1/E1, ISDN BRI/PRI, POTS and VoIP networks. The gateways scale from 2 to 32 mobile ports and offer varied network interfaces, in flexible configurations.
The GSM gateway interfaces GSM networks to existing telephony infrastructure-standard extensions, PBX system. Calls can thereby be routed through the GSM/3G SIM plugged in the gateway. Further, the gateway comes in a multi-port configuration, providing the flexibility to select between the multiple GSM service providers with the automated Least Cost Routing algorithms.
GSM networks are widespread. And ISDN PBXs are omnipresent. It is necessary for the businesses using ISDN PBXs to provide GSM connectivity to their users. This allows them to dynamically select one of the networks on per-call basis for obvious benefits of cost and quality of service (QoS). The GSM-ISDN BRI gateway offers interfaces for connecting to the GSM/3G and ISDN BRI networks.
